Shafali’s opening partner Meg Lanning and they, however, were positive that it was a no-ball. After a review and a difficult judgement by the third umpire, it was granted.
The decision generated debate since it was clear from the ball tracking that Shafali was not even crouching when the ball soared above the stumps.
The call was borderline since the ball appeared to be almost on Shafali’s waist.
The captain of the DC, Meg Lanning, was furious with the decision and lost her cool in front of the umpire. As Shafali made her way back to the dressing room, she was seen having a heated conversation with someone about the decision.
