The Mystic Mac Conor McGregor has revealed why Spanish footballer Sergio Ramos turned down tickets for his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier. 

Irish fighter Conor McGregor will battle it out with  Dustin Poirier for the third and final time this Saturday at UFC 264 on 10th July at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Sergio Ramos, with whom The Notorious is known to be friends with, had turned down the tickets for the fight. On the other hand, the Irish also admitted not knowing who Ramos now played for. Why Sergio Ramos Turned Down Tickets For Conor McGregor’s Fight

Defender Sergio Ramos has signed up with the French football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), while his friend Conor McGregor is preparing for his bout with Dustin Poirier. However, both the men have been struggling to keep their friendship sailing. Ramos turned down the tickets for Conor’s fight and the latter has no idea who the former is currently playing for. The Manchester United stan had become friends with the former Real Madrid skipper via social media, earlier this year.

Apparently, despite the offer of tickets, the Spanish defender had to decline attendance to the UFC 264 main event. This is because he’s signing for a new club. “He messaged me today saying he’s signing for a new club and he’s not going to be able to make it,” stated McGregor. Moreover, the Notorious One went on to reveal that even he had forgotten who Cuqui now played for. “Who’s he signing for? Signing for something new or something?”

McGregor has quite a strong bond with footballers and Sergio isn’t the only person he has formed a bond with over the years. The Irishman has also mentioned his friendship and admiration for the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo and former Celtic left-back now-Arsenal man, Kieran Tierney, on many occasions.

Dana White has already stated that UFC 264 will feature the most celebrities in attendance for a UFC event ever. Sergio Ramos was also set to be one of these hotshots until his move to PSG got in the way.
