2022 Commonwealth Games Boxing Latest Results, Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
One of the sports taking place at the 2022 Commonwealth Games at Birmingham, England’s National Exhibition Center Hall 4 is boxing. The boxing competition will be held in England for the third time. It is one of the founding sports and has appeared in every edition of the Games since the first edition in 1930. The competition will consist of sixteen events and run from July 29 through August 7, 2022.
Ace Indian boxer Shiva Thapa defeated Suleman Baloch of Pakistan in the opening round of their Commonwealth Games match on Friday. The boxer is competing in the 63.5kg weight class and won his light welterweight division first round match by a score of 5-0 because of his superiority over his taller and more aggressive opponent. On Sunday’s round of 16, the 28-year-old Shiva Thapa will take on Reese Lynch of Scotland.
