The top female badminton player in Taiwan, Tai Tzu-ying, went to the finals of 2022 Taipei Open after defeating Hsu Wen-chi of her own country at the Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium. She is now in a good position to win her fourth Taipei Open singles title on Sunday.

The $500k Yonex Taipei Open badminton final will take place on July 24, 2022, at the Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium and put an end to the tournament. There will be five finals on Sunday for all of the events, and five winners will be announced.

2022 Taipei Open Badminton Women’s Singles Semi-final Results, Score, Draw, Fixtures
In a 33-minute singles semifinal match of 2022 Taipei Open, Tai Tzu-ying defeated fellow countryman and world No. 42 Hsu Wen-chi by the scores of 21-14, 21-17. The Japanese shuttler Saena Kawakami defeated Natsuki Nidaira of her own country by a score of 21-13, 21-11 in the other women’s singles semifinal.
With her clean victory, Kawakami advanced to the final, where she will compete against Tai Tzu-ying, a local favorite. Following back-to-back victories at the Thailand Open in May and the Indonesia Open in June, Tai will earn her third championship of the season if she defeats Kawakami in the championship match but Kawakami will aim to put a stop on Tai’s plans.

2022 Taipei Open Badminton Women’s Singles Final Schedule
The final match between local superstar Tai Tzu-ying and Japanese star Saena Kawakami is scheduled to be played on Sunday and will take place at 12:00 PM. As per bookmakers, top-seed Tai Tzu-ying is the overwhelming favorite in the final owing to support from home crown and superb form. Tai’s winning odds are 1.07 while her opponent Kawakami’s winning odds are listed at 7.50.

Points Award System
The number of points granted for each round of the BWF World Tour Super 300 competition is determined by the BWF point distribution method. The female singles champion will receive 7,000 BWF points, and the runner-up will receive 5,950 points. In order to win the championship match and take the top position in the BWF global rankings, Tai Tzu-ying will be looking to earn as many BWF points as she can from the competition.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
When the awards are given out in compliance with BWF rules, the total prize pool for the 2022 Taipei Open will be US$500,000. The female singles competition champion will also get the coveted gold medal and $37,500 from this prize pool. The runner-up will get a total cash award of $19,000 along with a silver medal.
