2022 Taipei Open Badminton Doubles Category Second Round Latest Results, Score, Upcoming Schedule, And Draw

Sixth-seeded Tanisha and Ishaan Bhatnagar defeated Cheng Kai Wen and Wang Yu Qiao of Chinese Taipei 21-14, 21-17 to advance to the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles competition. In a women’s doubles match that lasted 22 minutes, Tanisha, a 19-year-old Dubai native who had previously played for Bahrain, teamed up with Shruti Mishra to defeat Jia Yin Lin and Lin Yu-Hao, two local favourites, 21-14, 21-8.

In the following round of mixed doubles, Tanisha and Ishaan will take on Malaysia’s Hoo Pang Ron and Toh Ee Wei, while in the quarterfinal of women’s doubles, Tanisha and Shruti will face Hong Kong’s sixth-seeded duo of Ng Tsz Yau and Tsang Hiu Yan.

Points Award System

The BWF point distribution mechanism will be used to award points for each round of the BWF World Tour Super 300 competition. A total of 7,000 BWF points would be awarded to the winners of each doubles category competition, while 5,950 BWF points would be awarded to the eventual final losers.
