2023 Singapore Open day 2 schedule, date, venue, fixtures, & second-round draw
After losing the second-set of her quarterfinal tie against Japanese ace Akane Yamaguchi, Sindhu was unable to mount a comeback and ultimately lost by the score of 21-18, 19-21, 17-21. Meanwhile, Malaysia Masters winner Prannoy lost his opening round match against third-seed Kodai Naraoka 15-21, 19-21 and crashed out from the competition. In the men’s singles competition, Priyanshu Rajawat qualified for the round-of-16 with a convincing 21-12, 21-15 victory over Kanta Tsuneyama.
In another first-round tie, French duo Lucas Corvee & Ronan Labar succumbed to defeat at the hands of Indian pair Arjun & Dhruv in 42 minutes by score of 16-21, 15-21. Lakshya Sen lost to Chou Tien-chen of Taiwan shortly after, despite winning the first-set 21-18. After an intense contest of one hour and nine minutes, Sen lost 21-18, 17-21, 13-21.

2023 Singapore Open: prize money distribution
As a BWF Super 750 event, the Singapore Open will award each singles champion $59,500 from the $850,000 total prize pool. he losers of the singles category semifinals will only receive $11,900, while each singles runner-up will reportedly awarded $28,900. After her heartbreaking defeat at the hands of top-seed Akane Yamaguchi, Indian star PV Sindhu will return home with prize money of $850.
