On Monday, June 5, the third promotional video for the television version of Koume Fujichika’s The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses was posted on the official website with the episode 1 release date out
Monthly Gangan Joker, a magazine published by Square Enix, has been serializing Fujichika’s original manga series since November 2018. Before becoming a regular serial, the series made its debut on the author’s Twitter in April of that year. There are 10 tankobon volumes collecting the series as of January 2023.

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses episode 1 is all set to release on July 4, 2023, at 11 pm JST. At a later, unannounced date, the series will also air on MBS and BS Asahi. The show will be available on U-NEXT, ABEMA, and other Japanese streaming platforms.

Tsuzuri, a 16-year-old newcomer, sings the opening theme song, “NAME,” for the anime The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses. Masayoshi Oishi, a singer and songwriter, Masahiro Itou, a voice actor, and Shion Wakayama, a voice actress, have announced their intention to join a new group.
Asuka Kawato (Aya Uchida), Maho Toyama (Minori Suzuki), Ren Azume (Ryohei Kimura), Tomo Yasaka (Yusuke Kobayashi), Narumi Someya (Shino Shimoji), Yuika Hibuchi (Saki Miyashita), and Tokita Kun (Kentaro Tone) round out the cast. Masahiro Itou plays Kaeda Komura and Shion Wakayama plays Ai Mie in the show.
