In Jakarta, Delphine Delrue and Thom Gicquel are set to compete in the Indonesia Master semi-finals. The 11th-ranked French duo qualified for the last four of the World Tour Super 500 competition on Friday by defeating Hong Kongers Tang Chun Man-Tse Ying Suet, who are ranked 7th in the world with a score of 21-15, 21-10.
The duo will play Thais Supak Jomkoh and Supissara Paewsampran in the semi-finals, whom the two Frenchmen defeated in their lone meeting last October. Delrue and Gicquel, recent silver medalists at the European Championships, famously eliminated the Thai pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Sapsiree Taerattanachai, world champions and ranked No. 1 in the world, in the first round of Indonesia Masters.
