Shane claimed that although the city still held Green in high esteem for hitting Milwaukee resident Jordan Poole at a Warriors practice earlier this year, everyone was now ready to move past the incident.
The Bigger Picture
Tuesday night, the Warriors were defeated 128-111 in Milwaukee, and the Bucks launched an investigation after Draymond Green alleged that a spectator had threatened to murder him.
A fan mocked Green as he waited for Giannis Antetokounmpo to make a pair of free throws at the 6:30 mark of the third quarter. Green took the referee to the opposite end of the court after the game was halted so Stephen Curry could attempt three free throws and pointed at a fan who was standing near the baseline.
The viewer was immediately led from his seat and outside the arena. The Bucks claimed that ejecting a fan is “within the referee’s discretion.” The business plans to look into the matter more thoroughly. Barry Baum, the Bucks’ chief communications officer, reportedly said in a statement that the team has been investigating the event and consulting with the NBA.
What did Mike Shane claim?
The R&B artist claimed, “I was speaking up for the city of Milwaukee.” essentially saying, “We’re giving you a pass. We are allowing you to get away with it even though we still remember that you were a major bully. We forgive you.”
However, Shane claims that Green blew it out of proportion and got him ejected from the arena. The superfan claims that the Bucks were understanding of the situation and even extended an offer to him for a refund and future tickets.
Two police officers were present and they were right there. The league security and a police officer came back and endorsed his character. They immediately asserted that he didn’t use any foul language or nasty language against him. However, Green, for his part, insisted the fan said some threatening stuff to his life and told reporters he was optimistic that new rules and legislation would be implemented to stop the heckling at sporting events.
