“Brother I’m Waiting,” Braun Strowman Hints At Possible AEW Contract For Bray Wyatt After WWE Released Him

WWE released Bray Wyatt this Saturday and his former tag team partner Braun Strowman didn’t waste any time reacting to the news, hinting an AEW contract in the near future.

“WWE has come to terms on the release of Bray Wyatt. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors,” read the company’s latest press release titled ‘Bray Wyatt,’ dated Saturday, July 31, 2021. Rather a cold statement for a superstar who had one of the most creative minds in the company. Nevertheless, the ones who did recognize his talents did not waste any time taking to social media to react the news.

Read on to know how Bray Wyatt’s colleague Braun Strowman reacted to his release.

Braun Strowman Invites Bray Wyatt To AEW After He Was Released From WWE

In yet another baffling decision made by WWE, the company has released one of their most creative talents Bray Wyatt. Though he had last appeared in the ring with Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 37, his recent debut as The Fiend had the WWE Universe on its toes. Many superstars and fans have been reacting to the news on social media, including Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman, who were two of Bray Wyatt’s closest friends both inside and outside the ring.

One of the most interesting reactions has come from his former on-screen ally Braun Strowman who WWE released as well not long ago. “Brother I’m waiting!!!!!!!” he wrote in an overexcited tweet, along with a photograph of him and Wyatt about to embrace in the ring.

What’s next for Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman?

Though both the Wyatt family members released now, we are yet to see which promotion they will sign a contract with next. With AEW signing many high-profile rankings lately, rumor has it that WWE may offer to rehire Braun Strowman. The Monster Among Men himself has been posting cryptic tweets, expressing his confusion over which promotion he should sign with next. But as far as his reaction to Wyatt’s release, he will not be doing so with WWE.

According to Lucha Libre Online, Strowman is scheduled to make his first post-release appearance as part of QPW’s SuperSlam 3 event. However, the superstar is yet to sign a big promotion which just as well be AEW (All Elite Wrestling). The promotion has gradually emerged as WWE’s biggest competitor right now, employing so many of its superstars like Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Neville, Cody Rhodes, Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose.

At this rate, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt as the Tag Team Champions at AEW, in the near future.
