Pallavi Dey was a famous Indian actress and model who was renowned for her work in the Bengali industry. Her nickname is Misthu.
She was born on 23 February 1997 at Howrah, West Bengal and died aged 25. She grew up in a middle-class family. Her father’s name is Nilu Dey and her mother’s name is Sangita Dey. She also has one brother in her family and his name is yet to be determined.
She did her schooling at Santragachi Bhanumati Girls High School and further went on to graduate from a private college. She was just 25 years old at the time of her death. When she died, she was in a relationship with Sagnik Chakraborty.
Her Career
She began her career at a young age, according to accounts. She initially appeared in the Bengali TV serial ‘Tobu Mone Rekho’ in 2017, where she portrayed Supriya, and then in the Bengali TV historical soap opera ‘Aami Sirajer Begum,’ where she played Lutfunnisa Begum. She was a popular female protagonist in the programme, starring Sean Banerjee.
She rose to prominence after starring in the TV series “Resham Jhanpi” (2018). Kunjo Chaya (2019) and Saraswatir Prem (2019) are two Bengali TV serials in which she appeared (2020).
According to the latest accounts, she was featured as Gauri in the Bengali drama ‘Mon Mane Na’ in 2022, opposite Bengal actor Samm Bhattacharya.
Death Cause Of Pallavi Dey
According to preliminary autopsy results, television actress Pallavi Dey, who was discovered dead in her South Kolkata home, committed suicide. On Sunday morning, Dey’s body was discovered hanging.
Police are looking into the “abatement to suicide” perspective, based on specific charges made by the victim’s parents. Her boyfriend Shagnik Chakraborty, who used to live with her in South Kolkata, is under investigation.
According to Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), anybody who aids in the suicide of another person is punishable by imprisonment of either kind for a time up to 10 years, as well as a fine.
