A resident of Mumbai’s Bandra (West), a 21-year-old YouTuber, filed a police complaint on Saturday upon discovering that his n*de videos had circulated widely on social media.
According to media reports, the YouTuber learned about the viral videos from a friend and promptly approached the authorities.

The Bandra police registered a case on Monday after it was revealed that an unidentified individual had illicitly accessed the CCTV camera installed in the YouTuber’s home, capturing his n*de video.
The disturbing video depicted the victim exiting the bathroom without clothes observed by his mother and sister. The hacker recorded the video on November 17 without the victims’ knowledge.
Police’ Statement
The investigating police officer informed the reporters that, “The cyber team in the police station is tracking the internet protocol (IP) details with the help of technical assistance to locate the person who gained illegal access to the CCTV system.”
Simultaneously, efforts were made to remove the video, and a request was sent for its removal, the police officer added. Upon receiving a call from a friend on Saturday alerting him to the video circulating on social media, the YouTuber immediately filed the complaint.
He stated, “The unknown person has gained illegal access to the CCTV camera that is installed in my bedroom.” The video proliferated after the hacker allegedly shared it on platforms such as Instagram, Telegram, and other social media outlets.
What Exactly Happened?
The esports player, also a content creator on YouTube, became aware of a video circulating on social media when a friend called him on Saturday. According to his complaint, an unidentified individual illicitly accessed the CCTV camera installed in his bedroom.
The video went viral after being shared on Instagram, Telegram, and other social platforms.
A police official mentioned that an investigation is underway to determine if someone familiar with the YouTuber obtained unauthorized access to the CCTV details.
The content creator lodged the complaint after receiving calls from two friends who identified the women in the videos as his mother and sister, prompting the need for a thorough investigation.
Charges
An unknown person is now facing charges under sections 500 (defamation), 501 (printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and under the IT Act sections 66 © (identity theft), 66 € (violation of piracy), and 67 (A) (publishing or transmitting material containing s*xually explicit).
