For the first time in almost two decades, reigning champion Lionel Messi will not feature on the 15-man shortlist, marking the end of an era.

The upcoming Ballon d’Or awards 2024 will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024. Fans can expect the awards ceremony to begin at around 7:30 PM local time (CET)/ 12:30 AM IST (October 29).
