Sushil Singhania, the uncle of Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash’s wife, Nikita Singhania, has been granted anticipatory release by the Allahabad High Court for aiding and abetting his suicide. Subhash’s 24-page suicide note, which came to light on Monday after Nikita’s untimely death in Bengaluru, listed a number of family members, including Sushil.
According to numerous media reports, Atul Subhash was born in Bihar and his age was thirty-four. He resided in Bengaluru’s Marathahalli. Atul Subhash was employed by the Mahindra & Mahindra Company as the DGM of Artificial Intelligence (AI). He was an expert on ML and AI and was being paid a monthly salary of Rs.84,000.

In 2019, Atul Subhash got married in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. Atul Subhash’s wife, Nikita Singhania, has been mentioned in numerous social media posts. According to the allegations, the wife filed a number of lawsuits against him and his family after two years of marriage, demanding Rs 3 crore in alimony.
Nikita Singhania is employed at the renowned firm Accenture where she was a senior AI engineer. Nikita Singhania’s arrest
Age 29 Nikita Singhania who is from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh was detained in Gurugram, Haryana where she was living in a PG, while her brother, age 27 Anurag Singhania, and mother, Nisha Singhania, were arrested in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh where they were hiding in Jhusi town.
Later, they were produced before a Bengaluru court and sent to judicial custody for 2 weeks while the Allahabad High Court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to Sushil Singhania, one of the accused and uncle of Nikita Singhania.
Atul’s mother has now moved the court demanding to be granted custody of his son.
Nikita Singhania’s 2022 complaint detailed how Atul Subhash allegedly treated their marriage “like a beast,” with his family’s dowry demands contributing to her father’s health decline, ultimately leading to his stroke and death and according to Nikita, her marriage to Subhash took place on April 26, 2019, but tensions escalated when her in-laws expressed dissatisfaction with wedding gifts and demanded an additional ₹10 lakh.
Atul Subhash meanwhile alleged that the Singhania family demanded ₹3 crore to withdraw legal cases against him and ₹30 lakh for visitation rights to see their son and claimed that Nikita had initially sought ₹1 crore in maintenance, later increasing this demand to ₹3 crore.
