2023 Asian Kabaddi Championship results today, India vs Iran winner, score, & final day schedule
At the 2023 Asian Kabaddi Championship on Thursday, the defending champions India overcame the stubborn Iranian defense to win 33-28. India was able to build a 10-point lead before the second half thanks to a string of outstanding raids by Pawan Sherawat, Arjun Deshwal, & Aslam Inamdar. Iran managed to close the gap before taking a slim lead, but they were unable to maintain up their momentum as Pawan’s 16-point effort helped India win 33-28.
Among other matches of Wednesday, Chinese Taipei claimed 37-29 victory against Iran before finishing their campaign with 70-25 win against hosts South Korea. Following these results, India sit at the top with eight points from four matches including as many wins and Iran are in second-place with three wins from four games. On Friday, Iran will face-off against Japan in a pivotal contest knowing victory can secure their spot in the championship match and India will look to finish their group-stage on high-note with their match against bottom-placed Hong Kong.
