Following the incident involving Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, his lawyer, Marc Agonifilo, released a statement about the rapper’s recent arrest.

According to Marc’s statement, he expressed their disappointment with the arrest and called it an “unjust prosecution” of Diddy by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He went on to call the vocalist as a:
music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.”
He also further referred to Diddy as an “imperfect” individual who is not a “criminal”, adding that Diddy has shown his cooperation with the investigation and even relocated to New York voluntarily last week. Agnifilo further added that these are acts of an “innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

Marc Agnifilo is a renowned criminal attorney who has had 20 years of experience as a high-profile defense lawyer. He is currently working with Brafman and Associates in New York, since 2006. Prior to this, he worked as a supervisor at a prominent United States Attorney’s Office and Manhattan Assistant District Attorney from February 1998-July 2006.
Marc started out his career as an Assistant District Attorney, in the Trial Division for the New York County District Attorney’s Office from 1990-1994. He later set up his new Law Office of Marc. A. Agnifilo, in New York, from 1994-1998.
Aside from all this, his website also states that Marc has had an active international criminal practice. He has done this in collaboration with local counsel on various issues charged by the governments of Switzerland, Italy, Romania, Kyrgyzstan, and Bulgaria. He has also carried out various investigations across many other countries.
Agnifilo had worked on several high-profile and controversial cases, including representing Keith Raniere, the founder of NXIVM, originally a multi-level marketing company which evolved into what was described as a “cult-like” group.
Agnifilo also represented Roger Ng, an employee of Goldman Sachs who was convicted in 2022 of bribery and corruption.
His wife Karen Friedman Agnifilo has a three-decade background in Criminal Justice, litigation, and trials. Her practice also focuses on internal investigations relating to misconduct and discrimination. The two have three children together.

Education
Marc Agnifilo attended the Brooklyn Law School, and became a Juris Doctor, in 1990. He later attended Connecticut College, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science, May 1986.
