Jalen Rose, a former basketball player and sports broadcaster, has reportedly been seen out and about with ESPN writer Angela Rye. We’ve been hearing whispers about Jalen Rose’s new girlfriend for the past several months, and it seems like this past weekend the two finally made their relationship public. At Tina Knowles’ 5th Annual Wearable Art Gala at Barker Hangar honouring Angela Bassett and Mark Bradford, the couple made their first public appearance.

On ESPN, Angela works as a special correspondent. Whereas Rose participated in the NBA as a small forward for six different teams, but he is best known for playing with Reggie Miller on the Indiana Pacers squad that advanced to the 2000 NBA Finals and won three straight Eastern Conference championships. With a career average of 14.3 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game, he retired in 2007.
Since then, he has built a highly lucrative career in broadcasting. Rose is now going through a divorce from Molly Qerim; he was previously married to another ESPN employee.

In court documents, Jalen claims that once Qerim moved to Connecticut, the marriage irreparably fell apart. It should be noted that according to the documents, neither Jalen nor Molly demand alimony. We are informed that there was no prenuptial agreement and Molly does not desire spousal support.
Social media was awash with breakup indications; Molly had previously used “Rose” in her name on Twitter and Instagram but has since removed it. According to court documents, Jalen Rose started the dissolution of their two and a half year marriage earlier this year. However, according to our sources, the split was amicable and the two parties are still friendly.
