In case you’re unaware, Super Bowl 59 is scheduled to take place in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9th, 2025 with an alleged leaked script now going viral

Transitioning from the bustling, sleepless party city of Las Vegas to another vivacious city that never rests, New Orleans, adds an exciting twist.

Although many fan bases hold aspirations of reaching the grand event, those hopes appear to have been dashed prematurely.

Super Bowl LIX (59) New Orleans leaked script and logo goes viral on Twitter/X and TikTok

A TikTok video has surfaced, seemingly revealing the leaked script for Super Bowl 59. According to the leaked information, the Cincinnati Bengals are set to make their second appearance in the big game within four years.

On the NFC front, history is in the making as the Detroit Lions have earned their first-ever Super Bowl berth. The purported final score indicates a thrilling 35-31 victory in overtime, despite the oddity of winning by four points in such a scenario.

The Lions clinched four NFL Championship Games between 1935 and 1957 but faced a playoff drought until the 1991 season, only recently breaking it in the past season. Notably, they stand as the sole franchise throughout the entire Super Bowl era never to have made a Super Bowl appearance.

The past three years under the leadership of Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell have felt like a dream for the Detroit Lions. As they enter their fourth year, the team is gaining recognition as legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

On the other hand, the Cincinnati Bengals are also vying for their first Super Bowl title. Despite the “script” hinting at Joe Burrow leading them close to the coveted victory, it appears their championship drought is destined to persist into the foreseeable future.

The upcoming Super Bowl will mark the eighth time it’s played in the Superdome and the 11th in the city of New Orleans. The most recent one was Super Bowl XLVII in 2013, hosted at the venue then known as the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Notably, this will be the first time the Super Bowl returns to the Eastern United States since Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium in 2021. The official logo, adhering to the template established since Super Bowl LVI, was revealed on February 12, 2024.

Following the tradition of incorporating imagery representing the host city or region, the Roman numerals for this event feature artwork by the local artist “Queen” Tahj Williams—a notable figure in the Mardi Gras Indians community.

Broadcasting

Fox is set to broadcast Super Bowl LIX, marking the second time the event will be televised under the 11-year NFL television contract. This contract involves a four-year rotation among CBS, Fox, NBC, and ABC/ESPN.
