AEW Star Thunder Rosa Lashes Out At Triple H After He Says ‘All-Women PPV Is Not Needed

Triple H said that WWE does not need another all-female pay-per-view, with the company having all the best female wrestlers, AEW star decided to Thunder Rosa respond

WWE had held its first all-women pay-per-view Evolution on 8th October, 2019. It was a huge success and featured stars like The Bella Twins, Trish Stratus, Lita and Becky Lynch. During a promotional conference call for NXT TakeOver: In Your House, Triple answered a question about WWE running a second all-female pay-per-view in the future. This came in connection to former wrestler Mickie James spearheading the female exclusive NWA Power PPV.

What Triple H Said About Running Another All-Women PPV And How Thunder Rosa Responded

Opining about running another Evolution, The Game offered a very simple yet thought-provoking explanation. He turned the tables and said that had he announced he was doing an all-men program and didn’t want women on it, he would be criticized. “It’s a funny thing to me. Equality is equality. Equality is not ‘I want my own show,’” he said.

While he does see another all-women’s event down the line, he believes it’s not “must-have” at the moment. According to him, WWE does an amazing job of displaying it’s female athletes, even though it’s not perfect and will always be in a flux. “In my opinion, the best female performers in the world are in WWE and if they are not, they want to be.”

WWE may be a bigger wrestling brand than AEW or any of the other promotions. But to agree with Rosa, talented women wrestlers are spread over many companies and many countries. The company does have a roster full of diverse women. But for Rosa, whether one works for Vince McMahon or not, is in no way a standard to measure one’s talent.

Apart from an NWA wrestler and mixed martial artist, Rosa is also the owner of Mission Pro Wrestling. It is an independent professional wrestling promotion for women.
