87 year old Kaikala finished his primary education in Gudlavalleru and intermediate education in Vijayawada. Satyanarayana graduated from Gudivada College. After completing his studies, he appeared in over 750 films and served as the Member of the parliament in the 11th Lok Sabha representing the Machilipatnam constituency from Telugu Desam Party.
He is the recipient of the 2011 Raghupathi Venkaiah Award, and in the 2017 Filmfare Award for lifetime achievement in Telugu cinema. Kaikala married Nageswaramma on 10th April in the year 1960. The couple has 2 kids and 2 daughters.

Kaikala Satyanarayana Professional Career
Kaikala Satyanarayana was first noticed by D. L. Narayana, who offered him a role in his film Sipayi Koothuru directed by Changayya in the year 1959. However, it did not do well at the box office; he was noticed for his resemblance to N.T. Rama Rao. They found him as a prospective candidate to play dupe to the NTR.
Satyanarayana aptly fitted in place. Kaikala played dupe to the NTR in numerous movies. NTR offered Satyanarayana a role in his film Apoorva Sahasra Siraccheda Chintamani in 1960, which was directed by S. D. Lal. Satyanarayana played the role of a prince.
In 1996, he stepped into politics with TDP winning Lok Sabha elections from the Machilipatnam constituency.
