In the first round of Singapore Open, Thailand’s Kittipak Dubthuk-Prinda Pattanawaritthipan were defeated by independent combo Vivian Hoo-Lim Chiew Sien 21-18, 21-16. After the win, Vivian and Lim advanced to the second round of the women’s doubles competition. On Thursday, Sayaka Hobara-Hinata Suzuki of Japan will compete against Vivian-Lim.

The $370,000 Singapore Open badminton tournament, which will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium from July 12 through July 17, will be held there in 2022. The competition will be place in the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
14th July: Second-round matches will begin (From 9:00 AM Local Time)

2022 Singapore Open Badminton Doubles Category First Round Latest Results, Upcoming Schedule ,Draw, And Players List
Young men’s doubles Wan Arif Wan Junaidi-Haikal Nazri performed admirably today to go to the Singapore Open second round. The Malaysian duo, also known as the Patatimo Boys, won their match against the hosts Wesley Koh-Junsuke Kubo by scores of 16-21, 21-19, and 21-15 to advance past the first round. Arif-Haikal will play another local couple, Terry Hee-Loh Kean Hean, for a spot in the quarterfinals in only their fourth top-tier competition of the year.
The Syed Modi International champions Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun also advanced to the second round after defeating their countrymen Chia Weijie-Low Hang Yee 21-15, 21-12. Next up are Indonesia’s Mohammad Ahsan-Hendra Setiawan, the second-seeded team, and Wei Chong-Kai Wun.
Meanwhile, the Indian mixed doubles duo of Nithin HV and S Ram Poorvisha defeated Misha Zilberman and Svetlana Zilberman by scores of 21-15, 21-14 in straight sets. With this win. the Indian duo has qualified for the second round of Singapore Open where they will face German duo.

The BWF World Tour Super 500 competition used the BWF scoring system to determine how many points should be awarded for each round. The Doubles category tournament awards 9,200 BWF points to the winners and 7,800 to the losers.
