Earlier in the day 2 of Indonesia Open, India’s men’s doubles team of MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila upset Japan’s world No. 30 pair of Keiichiro Matsui and Yoshinori Takeuchi 27-25, 18-21, 21-19 to set up a match against Liu Yu Chen and Ou Xuan Yi, the silver medalists from Tokyo 2020.

On the day, both of the Indian women’s pairs competing were eliminated. Haritha Manazhiyil Harinarayan-Ashna Roy were defeated 21-9, 21-8 by Jeong Na Eun-Kim Hye Jeong, while Ashwini Bhat and Shikha Gautam were defeated 21-9, 21-10 by China’s Zhang Shuxian and Zheng Yu.
