WWE Smackdown Live: Fresh Details Emerge On John Cena’s Speculated Return To WWE

Cena had previously talked about his desire to once again compete in the marquee competition with a WWE Smackdown live return being talked about

Touted as one of the most sensational characters to have graced the land of the WWE, John Cena decided he had run his race since his Firefly Fun House match against Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36. Ever since, Cena has abstained from participating in new fights owing to his ongoing commitments in the land of Hollywood and elsewhere.

However, Cena had earlier this year stoked talk about him making a reappearance on the competition. During an interview with Den of Geek. Cena had talked about his desire to once again make his presence felt in the WWE.

“I do look forward to returning. It won’t be about topping a Firefly Fun House match. The first question I’ll ask is ‘Why?’ And the next question I’ll ask is ‘Where do we go after that?’ And if I get, ‘I don’t know’ to both of them, that’s cool because that means I can come up with my own thing,” said John Cena.

WWE Smackdown Live: John Cena Return

While nothing has been brought into fruition as of now in that regards, fresh details which have emerged on John Cena’s return hint at the wrestler coming back for the Smackdown in July. Cena is said to be eager of making a reappearance once live audiences are allowed back in.

The first SmackDown with a live audience is slated for July 16th in Houston, Texas. And with PW Insider asserting that Cena’s show, the Peacemaker will end on July 6, Cena would very well be back for the Smackdown event in July.

Cena had earlier this month apologised for calling Taiwan a country. The move came in the aftermath of his Fast and Furious 9 movie releasing in China.

Cena and the movie had faced severe backlash in China for the wrestler’s comments. Notwithstanding the truth in Cena’s comment, he had decided to apologise for them owing to the hindrance it was causing the Hollywood project.
