Indian Jawan Dinesh Kumar killed in Pakistani shelling

Just recently, an intense Pakistani shelling took place in the Krishna Ghati sector, killing Indian Army Rifleman Dinesh Kumar. Kumar initially suffered critical injuries, and medical officials had to rush him to a nearby military hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his wounds. According to reports, his body will be transported to his hometown in Haryana’s Palwal district. There, the family will conduct the final rites along with full military honors.

Pakistani shelling kills thirteen civilians and one soldier

The recent shelling seemingly killed several innocent civilians besides military targets. At least thirteen civilians, including children, were reported dead, while around 57 were left injured. During the shelling, mortar rounds and artillery fire rained down indiscriminately across the border village. Some of the civilians identified among the deceased include Balvinder Kour (33), Mohd Zain Khan (10), Zoya Khan (12), and others. The onslaught also went on to destroy homes, vehicles, and religious sites like a Gurdwara.

Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar Sharma was an Indian army soldier who hailed from Palwal, Haryana. He was a dedicated member of the Indian Army who was posted in one of the most volatile sectors along the LoC. Kumar was known for his courage and professionalism in all kinds of high-risk deployments.

32-year-old Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar Sharma of the Fifth Regiment from Haryana’s Palwal district was killed in the intense cross-border artillery and mortar shelling by the Pakistan army after the Indian Armed forces  executed ‘Operation Sindoor’ He was recruited in 2014 and was promoted to Lance Naik.

He was posted at Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir his father Daya Ram Sharma revealed.

The 32-year-old soldier was the eldest of five brothers and two of his younger brothers are already serving in the army.

His two younger brothers Kapil and Hardut have been recruited as Agniveers and his youngest brother Pushpender is a student, and another brother Vishnu is a farmer. Dinesh’s wife Seema is an advocate and is expecting a child and the couple has a son and a daughter.

Military career

Dinesh Kumar was an Indian Army rifleman who was stationed in the Krishna Ghati sector. The area is notorious for frequent ceasefire violations and militant infiltrations. Kumar served remarkably in this high-tension zone, and his sacrifice sparked tributes from his unit and several senior military officials.
