The Gold Medalist agency claimed that she still owed them ₩686 million KRW (approximately $473,000), with a due date that had already passed (December 31, 2023.) and the letter warned that if she failed to pay, the agency would pursue both civil and criminal legal action against her.
Gold Medalist supposedly asked to be paid a certain sum for her after some computations. She had been told by Kim Soo Hyun at the time that it was acceptable to not repay it. Kim Sae Ron promised to gradually repay it through her employment.

Following the uproar surrounding the connection between Kim Sae-Ron and Kim Soo-Hyun, a message is currently making rounds on Korean media sites. Through his business, which collaborated with Sae-Ron until her DUI episode in 2022, Soo-Hyun was accused of trying to extort millions of dollars from her.
