The first-ever breakdancing Olympics will take place in Paris in the summer of 2024 and Sunny Choi is going to be part of it.
The U.S. team, consisting of two women and two men, is making its Olympic debut in Paris. Choi and Victor Montalvo have already claimed two of those slots.

Who is Sunny Choi?
Sunny Choi aka Grace Choi or you can also call her just Sunny, is an American break dancer who was born on November 10, 1988 in Cookeville, Tennessee, U.S. The 35 year old has a height of 5 feet 1 inch.
She is the daughter of Kyung-Ju and Jung-In Choi and has 3 brothers Jin, Joon, and Young plus 4 nieces. In 2012, she moved to Queens, NY, where she began traveling and battling.
Sunny Choi, in her first year of college at Pennsylvania University, she started to break. Choi wants dancing to be a comfortable way for individuals to express themselves.
She took part in the 2022 World Games dancesport competition and earned the silver medal in the B-Girls division. In 2023, she bagged het first-ever gold medal in breakdancing at the Pan American Games.
As a result, she qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics’ breakdancing discipline, making history as the first American woman to do so. Before leaving Estee Lauder in January 2023 to concentrate on breakdancing, Choi served as the company’s director of worldwide creative operations.
Her affinity for the physical demands of breaking combined with the artistic components of expression and originality drew her to the sport while she was a freshman at UPenn and she joined the school club. After moving to Queens, New York, in 2012, she began travelling and competing worldwide.
She constantly dances with a smile on her face because she wants to inspire others to feel comfortable expressing themselves through dance.
