Latira Shonty Hunt was seen asking Cori, the daughter of ex-NBA player Corey Benjamin to punch Lauryn Ham during a high school basketball game
Ever since a video of Cori Benjamin sucker punching Lauryn Ham had emerged on the internet, a massive brouhaha had erupted. It was down to the deranged manner in which she had gone onto land a punch on her competitor during a girls high school basketball game.

Cori who is the daughter of ex-NBA player Corey Benjamin had fallen to the ground along with Ham who was guarding her. And as both returned to their feet, Cori decided to land a lethal blow on Ham, one which left the 15 year old concussed.
Ham’s mother had also gone onto claim that Cori had punched her daughter after being exhorted by her mother, 44 year old Latira Shonty Hunt to do so. Hunt who was watching in the stands has now been hit with two misdemeanor charges, battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor with her said to face upto a year in jail.
Orange County DA said while placing the charges, “In my opinion, it would have not happened, but for mom’s words.”
Police in Garden Grove, CA decided to charge Hunt after reviewing footage of the incident and talking to witnesses at the venue. Cori has meanwhile managed to escape any kind of legal punishment but has been banned by the league from competing for her entire life.
Video had also emerged of Cori hitting two other girls prior to her knocking Ham to the ground with her violent spree clearly emanating from her mother’s inclination for such misconducts.
