Jaspreet Singh bio

Age 35 Jaspreet Singh is a popular Indian comedian who was born in a humble Punjabi family in 1989, in Batala near Amritsar, Punjab with his height at 5 feet 11 inches. He was born to a father who works as a banker, and he has an elder brother named Harpreet Singh. The famous comedian has often faced backlash for making jokes about his family. However, during an interview, he revealed that his family is inherently funny and often engage in banter. He further went on crediting his family for his sense of humor.

Education

Jaspreet obtained his early schooling from Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Amritsar. Following which he pursued a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science (2007-2011) at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. During his time in college, he was very active as a stage performer. He engaged in theater, wrote scripts, and featured in his college’s Bhangra dance group.

Profession and comedy career

After completing his education, Jaspreet Singh initially started out working as a software engineer for almost seven years. He first worked at the Samsung Research Institute in Noida and then joined Sapient in Gurugram, where he worked as a senior associate. He eventually made the switch to comedy after one of his friends introduced him to stand-up comedy.

Jaspreet started out attending open mics and performing at them before going viral through a YouTube video. He eventually went on to upload his first YouTube video titled “Dad, Savings aur Milk”, back in July 2017. Much to his surprise, the video gained over 10 million views in just a short span of time.

As of now, the video has gained over 12.5 million views and nearly 3 thousand comments. Since finding his success online, Jaspreet Singh hasn’t slowed down, performing in shows across 60 cities worldwide. Aside from his channel, Jaspreet also owns a podcast channel titled “Chill Thoda Grill”. Meanwhile, he also runs a series on YouTube called “Jassi Doesn’t Like It”.

Wife and marriage

Jaspreet married his long-time partner Harneet Kaur, on December 11, 2016. The pair are very close and both of them often refers to with one other as each other’s source of laughter and support. During an interview Jaspreet shared how he often first tests his jokes on his wife, before performing them live.
