When will F1 return from the summer break?
After the Belgian Grand Prix, fans of Formula One will have to wait over a month until the next competitive event of current season. With his victory at the Spa-Francorchamps, Max Verstappen extended his advantage at the top of the standings. Notably, Max Verstappen has won eight consecutive races and overall ten races during this season. Currently, F1 season will take a little vacation before returning for the second half of the season, which concludes on November 26 with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
After the culmination of summer holiday, the F1 season will return with the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, which takes place the weekend of August 25–27. Following the Dutch Grand Prix, the races come thick and fast with the Italian Grand Prix (September 1-3), Singapore (September 15-17), and Japan (September 22-24) before the season’s stretch run through October and November, which is capped off by the season finale in Abu Dhabi on November 24-26.
What activities aren’t allowed during F1 summer break?
According to the regulations, only the most fundamental factory operations may continue in order to allow teams to remain working until the end of the 14-day period. However, no new car development, design, or part manufacture is allowed during the closure. Additionally, wind tunnels are closed, although routine maintenance and repair work is allowed. However, other team functions such as marketing, law, and finance are permitted to continue.
In essence, F1 drivers and team members are free to enjoy a holiday and their loved ones. Drivers are frequently seen relaxing in the summer sun, playing golf, or attending other athletic activities. Verstappen attended a concert, Lewis Hamilton went on an African safari, and Alex Albon of Williams was spotted playing golf in 2022.
