2023 Mutua Madrid Open main-draw schedule, date, venue, fixtures, & second-round draw

Numerous elite athletes will compete at the Madrid Open, as they do every year. The favorite in Madrid will be Carlos Alcaraz, the reigning champion. By successfully defending his title in the Spanish capital, the adolescent will hope to become the second player to do so. Along with Andrey Rublev, who won the Monte-Carlo Masters, fifth-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas has been playing well lately and is anticipated to have a strong tournament. Felix Auger-Aliassime, Casper Ruud, & Daniil Medvedev will also prove to be worthy contenders.

For the first time in the tournament’s 21-year existence, the main draw won’t include Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, or Roger Federer. Of the previous 20 Madrid Opens, they had won 11 of them. The first men’s competition was held in 2002, and Andre Agassi won after obtaining a walkover in the championship match after Jiri Novak withdrew due to a hamstring injury.
