This yearโs competition marks the seventh edition of the competition with Team Europe and Team World competing for glory.

The upcoming tournament will be a three-day event featuring six of the best tennis players from Europe against six of the best from the rest of the world.
While Team Europe initially dominated the Laver Cup in its early years, Team World have bounced back and are currently looking for a third straight win.
Laver Cup 2024 dates and venue
The upcoming edition of the Laver Cup will begin on Friday, September 20 and conclude on Sunday, September 22. The indoor hard courts at the Uber Arena in Berlin will serve as the venue for the tournament. Tickets can be bought from here.
2024 Laver Cup schedule
The Laver Cup will feature five sessions played across three days:
Day session from 13:00 CEST, night session from 19:00 CEST
On Friday and Saturday the day session will start at 6 a.m. ET with two singles matches, followed by a night session at noon ET with one singles match and one doubles match.
On Sunday, September 22, the day session will start at 5 a.m. ET with one doubles match followed by up to three singles matches if needed.

2024 Laver Cup players
Nadal was initially set to headline the tournament but withdrew last minute without any apparent reason. He simply stated:
there are other players who can help the team deliver the win.โ
Following the change, Team Europe will have Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, and Grigor Dimitrov as his replacement. Meanwhile Team World will feature US Open runner-up Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe, Thanasi Kokkinakis and Alejandro Tabilo, and John McEnroe.
Laver Cup 2024 rules and format
- The first team to reach 13 points will win the Laver Cup
- Match wins on the final day are worth more points than on the first day
- For each win, teams will earn one point on Friday, two points on Saturday and three points on Sunday
- The tournament will feature 12 matches played out in total
- The Laver Cup will not offer any ranking points
- In the event of a tie, after 12 matches, both teams will compete in a final overtime doubles match to decide the winner
Laver Cup 2024 captains
Since the cupโs inaugural edition in 2017, Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe have served as teams captains for Team Europe and Team World respectively. However, Yannick Noah will replace Borg, while Andre Agassi will replace McEnroe as teams captain by in the 2025 edition.
