Watch: West Ham And Rapid Vienna Fans Throw Urine Bottles During Fight At Each Other As Three Are Arrested And A Police Officer Is Assaulted

Turning up in large numbers at the London Stadium for West Ham vs Rapid Vienna in the Europa League, the miscreants amongst the visiting supporters decided to make the most of their numbers. Ensuing Declan Rice’s opening goal for West Ham in the 28th minute, a section of Rapid Vienna supporters ended up storming into the home end at the London Stadium.

Fans Arrested After Fight Between West Ham And Rapid Vienna Supporters

Mayhem erupted as fights erupted between both the sets of the supporters as stewards and police officers were required to intervene. While the Rapid Vienna supporters were eventually escorted back to their seats, things remained far from docile across the night with both the set of supporters throwing water bottlers and containers containing urine at each other.

A handful of Rapid Vienna supporters refused to leave the London Stadium after the match ended as well with them seen facing off with security personnel in the premises. In the aftermath of the ugly visuals which marred West Ham’s 2-0 win, three supporters have been arrested for assaulting a police officer whilst one has been detained for possession of an offensive weapon in a statement released by the Metropolitan Police.

Supporter liaison officers from Rapid Vienna were also threatened with arrest and escorted out of the stadium ensuing squabbles with members from the West Ham team.
