Crowd trouble persistently marred Marseille vs Galatasaray in the Europa League on Thursday night.

With both the sets of ultras known to be one of the nastiest and most deranged set of supporters in the world of football, things were bound to turn ugly when the two clubs took on each other in the Europa League. Missiles and flares were thrown by both set of supporters all across the course of the night with the showdown needing to be halted in the first half as things went out of hand.

While the security personnel managed separate the two set of supporters to allow the match to resume, tempers flared between the two sets of players as well. The second half in particular saw a slew of fights erupt on the field with Marseille’s Matteo Guendouzi finding himself embroiled in each one of them.

Patrick van Aanholt Takes A Swipe At Matteo Guendouzi On Twitter

Things kicked off between him and Patrick van Aanholt after the 22 year old went down in the box under a challenge from the Dutch defender. VAR adjudged the decision to not be a penalty with both the players seen brawling with each other in the aftermath of the incident.

However, for PVA, things didn’t quite end there. The Galatasaray defender went onto belittle Guendouzi on Twitter, asking him to calm himself before he decided to rip the Frenchman’s wig off his head.

Guendouzi who is known to have an innate penchant for getting involved in scuffles was way too eager to involve himself in the feud between William Saliba and Mbaye Diagne as well.
