2022 ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup’s men’s singles category saw all Indian paddlers defeated in the first-round, which devastated the fans. The event’s conclusion was seen by spectators all across the world on Saturday, when Lim Jonghoon was defeated by the Japanese Tomokazu Harimoto.

2022 Men’s ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup Final Result, Score, Winner, Medal Winners, & Indian Performance
Tomokazu Harimoto of Japan defeated Lim Jonghoon of South Korea 4-1 to win the gold medal despite having trouble in the early going. Prior to Lim tying the match at 1-1, Tomokazu had a solid first set, which he won. However, Tomokazu’s domination in the subsequent sets allowed him to win by scores of 11-9, 7-11, 11-8, 12-10, and 11-2. Consequently, Tomokazu won the gold medal, while South Korean Lim accepted the silver.
Chunag Chih-Yuan of Taiwan defeated Yukiya Uda of Japan, a veteran, 4-2 in the bronze-medal match (6-11, 11-9, 9-11, 12-10, 11-7, 11-9). Earlier, in the Round of 16, Yukiya Uda upset Indian competitor G Sathiyan 4-3 in a hard-fought match, and Indian competitor Sharath Kamal fell short of bronze medalist Chuang Chih-Yuan 1-4. Owing to these results, India’s medal hopes from men’s singles category were dashed as soon as it began.
