Netflix typically produces top-notch South Korean content, but the most recent of its original dramas, especially “D.P.,” may be among the most well-liked offerings, for which everyone is waiting for its second season.
The South Korean television series “D.P.” is based on Kim Bo-tong and Han Jun-hee’s “D.P: Dog Days” webtoon. The action series centers on the Deserter Pursuit unit, whose job is to apprehend military deserters. In August 2021, the program began to appear.
As South Korea has a law of compulsory military service for all eligible males in the country, the show received great appreciation both locally and abroad for highlighting under-reported tales of AWOL troops and those who look for them.

Is D.P. Season 2 Confirmed Or Not?
On August 7, 2021, D.P. (Deserter Pursuit) season 1 was made available on Netflix. In December of the same year, the Korean drama series was revived for a second season.
The Entertain Naver outlet announced the news, by saying,
“In Season 2, director Han Joon-hee will direct and writer Kim Bo-tong will co-write the screenplay, and they will work together once again after season 1.”
Is Filming Started Or Not?
The Netflix Korea Twitter account posted many pictures from the D.P. season 2 set on November 11, indicating that filming on the popular K-drama has finally restarted. On Twitter, Netflix Korea wrote,
“For those of you who have been waiting patiently, Junho sent me a photo of the < DP > season 2 filming site”
Unfortunately, neither Netflix nor the showrunners have provided a projected release date. Netflix Korea did, however, confirm Ji Jin-hee and Kim Ji-hyun’s addition to the group through Instagram.
The first season of the show was announced in June 2020; production is said to have begun in March 2021 and ended in July 2021. By following a similar production timetable, D.P. season 2 may be available on Netflix by May 2023, which would be exciting for fans.
