2022 F1 Brazilian Grand Prix Race Track, Expected Weather, And Other Details

This weekend’s Sao Paulo Grand Prix will see the return of Formula 1 to Interlagos, the site of a nail-biting wheel-to-wheel duel between then title contenders Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen last year. Max Verstappen will strive to break some of the records he already holds at the upcoming Grand Prix. The first is the total number of victories in a season, while the second is the total amount of points scored in a season, a record he might break in the Sprint on Saturday because up to eight points will be awarded.

2022 Brazilian Grand Prix will feature a total of 71 laps spanning over 305.879 km distance and this race at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace will be challenging one for the drivers. In the race for second place in the drivers’ championship in Mexico, Sergio Perez edged Charles Leclerc by just five points, thanks to Perez’s third-place finish and Leclerc’s dismal sixth place in a difficult weekend for Ferrari. Consequently, Mercedes is now able to put the Scuderia under some unexpected pressure. Haas is barely holding on to eighth place in the constructors’ championship by one point over AlphaTauri.

Sources claim that Sao Paulo will experience thunderstorms on Friday afternoon. On that day, there is a 56% chance of rain and a high of 28 degrees. The Sprint might be a special version on Saturday because it will be 25 degrees outside and there is an 81 percent chance of rain. On Sunday, things do not appear to be much better for the actual Grand Prix, as 70% chance of rain is there and thunderstorms will likely disturb the atmosphere of circuit. Sao Paulo Grand Prix Detailed Schedule And GP Time 2022 F1 Brazilian GP 2022: Full Schedule (All Timings in IST)

On Sprint weekends, there will only be two practice sessions, giving the teams less time to prepare their vehicles for qualifying and the race. The first will happen on Friday before qualifying, while the second will happen on Saturday before the Sprint.

Similar to last year, the F1 Sprint will be a 100-kilometer sprint with no required pit stops and drivers going all-out to the finish line. This year, though, there will be a lot more on the line because the top eight drivers will receive points. The Sprint will be led off by the driver who earns pole position on Friday. Further, the Sprint winner will line up in position one for the Grand Prix on Sunday.
