Scott Edwards made his first-class debut for the Netherlands against Namibia in 2015 and 17 ICC Intercontinental Cup on 29th November in 2017. Scott made his List A debut for the Netherlands against the team Namibia in 2015 to 2017 ICC World Cricket League Championship held on the 8th of December in 2017. In June 2022 Edwards was considered as the new captain of the Dutch cricket team after Pieter Seelaar was forced to retire from international cricket due to a long-term back injury.

Scott is Netherlands’ seventh ODI captain currently. In 2022 he studied for a Bachelor of Business in the subject of Sport Management from the University of Deakin. He is 6ft 1in tall and weighs close to 80 kg.

Scott Edwards played club cricket for Monash Tigers in Victorian Premier Cricket and earlier for the Blackburn South Cricket Club and Highton Cricket Club. In Dutch club cricket Scott plays for Excelsior ’20. Edwards had a relationship with former Australian wicketkeeper Ryan Campbell who later on became the head coach of the Netherlands Cricket Team in year 2017. S
cott was an electrical apprentice before he started playing cricket. Later he stated, “It was pretty surreal to be honest, was going about life as an apprentice and then all of a sudden you’re playing international cricket coming up against Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis — it was pretty exciting,”
In 2019 Scott was selected to play for Rotterdam Rhinos in the inaugural edition of Euro T20 Slam cricket tournament. However the following month the tournament got canceled. In June of 2022 Scott Edwards scored three consecutive ODI half centuries against the team England at VRA Ground, Amsterdam.
Later a month in July 2022 Netherlands beat USA in the semifinals at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier. This sent them to Round 1 of the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup held in Australia.
