A Neighbour Of Jeffrey Dahmer Was Glenda Cleveland.
Cleveland, portrayed by Niecy Nash in the 2022 series, was actually Dahmer’s neighbour.
Distract from the news According to allegations from 1991, Sandra Smith, Cleveland’s teenage daughter, and Nicole Childress, Cleveland’s niece, witnessed a teenage male who was bloodied and naked fleeing from Dahmer in the early morning hours of May 27.
After helping the stranger, they called the authorities, but when the police showed up, problems developed.
Smith reportedly said, via AP News, “We tried to tell the policeman our identities, but he basically told us to butt out.” “I didn’t know why he objected to our names. What are you going to do about this, I asked? A boy, that’s who.”
Konerak Sinthasomphone, a 14-year-old, was the boy in question, according to Distractify; he was slain by Dahmer soon after the police were summoned; Dahmer persuaded them that the teen was older, inebriated, and his boyfriend so they left.
After hearing noises, Cleveland would repeatedly phone the authorities and even report that “someone is either being hurt or killed,” according to Tudum. However, this never led to a discovery.
WHY DID GLENDA CLEVELAND DISAPPEAR?
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Cleveland passed away in December 2010 at the age of 56.
As per to the official report, the death was a “natural death brought on by heart disease and excessive blood pressure… The Common Council and County Board gave Cleveland a formal award.
The Sentinel stated that “Mayor John Norquist labelled her a model citizen.” She won honours from neighbourhood women’s organisations and even the Milwaukee Police Department.”
She has had her story told the least.
In an interview with Queue, the actress that brought Cleveland to life spoke candidly about the part.
Glenda was also one of his victims, yet her story has received the least attention, she said.
In fact, Rashad Robinson, the head of the group Color of Change, which advocates for civil rights, offered his opinion in a recent featurette for the programme.
He asserted that “this is a different story than the stories that have been told” because, while it is true that Dahmer is the subject of the narrative, the victims are also mentioned.
