While the prominent players continue to change depending on the format or fitness problems, there is a reinforcement army working behind the scenes that helps players prepare themselves for difficulties under all conditions.

1. Head coach: Ravi Shastri

The former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri needs no introduction. The legendary batsman has shown his caliber to world cricket and currently is the head coach of the Indian cricket team (men) and the important face of current India team management. 

2. Batting coach: Vikram Rathour

Vikram Rathour, former Indian Keeper batsman with a terrific domestic record,  Rathour failed to jot the dots in the international arena as he did in domestic cricket. Nonetheless, after retiring as a player, V.Rathour has assisted as a coach in various IPL teams and even domestic cricket has flourished under him.

3. Bowling coach: Bharat Arun

It was a similar scenario, in the previous year when Parmar refused to accompany the national team to New Zealand since players like Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Shikhar Dhawan were undergoing rehabilitation under his supervision.

6. Video Analyst: Hari Prasad Mohan

Hari Prasad Mohan, an Indian team performance analyst, remains busy watching video evidence of his players and keeping a record of opponents. He frequently lies down with one or two coaches in the change room. They continue to provide live information to make an educated choice during the game.

7. Throwdown specialist: Raghuvindra, Nuwan, Dayand

Raghuvindraa, just called Raghu, is the Indian team’s throwdown specialist. Raghu has developed distinct and prominent status in the cricket world due to his unique ability to throw a cricket ball at about 150 kph.

Rajeev Kumar, a renowned team masseur shares his birthday with  Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of September. 

9. Strength and conditioning coach: Nick Webb, Soham Desai

After a systematic study including interviewing  about a dozen specialists, Nick Webb of New Zealand was recruited. So far Nick has made a good impact as BCCI head of Physical Performance. He worked with the women’s squad in New Zealand, and was affiliated with Warriors, the rugby league franchise located in Auckland.

After the 2019 World Cup, Soham Desai the assistant fitness trainer embarked on a West India tour with the Indian squad. Since Desai also often works with the A team of India and the Under-19 squads.
