Nirmala Mishra was a famous Indian singer who predominantly works in Odia and Bengali film industries. She was recently in the news because she died recently.
She was born on 21 October 1938 in Majilpur, Calcutta, Bengal Presidency, British India. Her father’s name was Pandit Mohinimohana Mishra and her mother’s name was Bhabani Devi. She also had an elder brother named Murarimohan Mishra. Her father and her brother, both are famous singers.
She was married to Pradip Dasgupta.
She died on 31 July 2022 in Chetla, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. At the time of her death, she was 83 years old.
Her Career
Nirmala Mishra was given the opportunity to perform a song for the first time in 1960 in the Odia film Shri Lokanath by music director Balakrushna Das. She has performed in a number of well-known Odia films, including Adina Megha, Kaa, Malajanha, Abhinetree, and Stree.

Death Cause Of Nirmala Mishra
Nirmala Mishra (81) was a Balakrushna Das Award winner who had long struggled with age related illnesses.
When contacted by PTI, the physician who was treating Mishra said that she had a severe heart attack around 12:05 a.m. and was then transferred to the closest nursing facility, where she was later pronounced dead.
He stated, “Her body will be kept at the hospital tonight.”
