Days after being accused of having an affair with his mother’s best friend by his ex-girlfriend Abbey Gile, the Jets quarterback made his Instagram comeback on Wednesday and seemed to make light of the ludicrous claims surrounding his love life.

One fan approached the Jets quarterback and asked for a photo. Wilson’s father apparently said something famous as they were taking the photo. The fan tweeted a photo of the quarterback along with the caption, “Ran into @ZachWilson today and asked for a photograph.

Abbey Gile tried to expose Zach Wilson
Wilson’s ex-girlfriend Abbey Gile, who is a wide receiver with the Washington Commanders and a former BYU teammate of the quarterback’s, was reportedly linked to Dax Milne over the weekend. Gile was referred to as a “homie hopper” on social media, to which an Instagram account with her name as the username replied, “He was sleeping with his mom’s best friend. That’s the real homie hopper.”

In spite of her best efforts to expose him, he became a legend as a result. Since then, Gile’s Instagram account has been removed. Last Wednesday, Wilson finally broke his silence on Instagram, days after the rumour gained widespread attention. Before camp, I took the boys to the @gozzerranchclub in Idaho. What I miss most about poor cell service, he captioned the picture.
Before sparking split rumours in January, Wilson and Gile had been together for a number of years. The quarterback has recently been associated with influencer Nicolette Dellanno, who resides in New Jersey. Last month, the reported couple attended a Yankees game together.
