Season 2 of the K drama recently came to our screens earlier this month on 10th June 2022.
Story So Far
Season 1 followed the story of Yumi, portrayed by Kim Go-eun. She is a regular person but her love cell goes into a coma as a result of the trauma of a broken romance. The drama will illustrate her development and metamorphosis as her cells work tirelessly to activate the love cell.
Goo Woong, played by Ahn Bo-Hyun is a game developer who is mostly an engineer. He tries to awaken Yumi’s love cell with his basic and honest attitude, despite the fact that he does not communicate emotionally.
Season 2 began with Yumi entering a new relationship with her coworker Babi, played by Jinyoung after splitting up with Goo Woong, but they encounter problems since she is keeping secrets from him. Sia creates misunderstandings between Yumi and Woong.
Yumi hopes of marrying and starting a family with Woong, but Woong is not interested in marriage. He knows he can’t support himself without Yumi’s help, but his ego destroys their relationship. Yumi finally ended their relationship, and Woong agreed because it was in their best interests.
Yumi Cell’s Season 3 Details
Fans are eagerly waiting for Season 3 of Yumi Cell to come out. The show will soon be announcing the release date of the next season.
Before season 2 came out, the director of the show, Lee Sang Yeop and Song Jae Jung announced that the show will have multiple seasons. However, when will we get to see Yumi on her journey to find love again, is yet to be confirmed.
A mysterious character was introduced in the latter part of “Yumi’s cells 2” finale and the said character is named Shin Soon Rok, who will be Yumi’s new team leader.
The webtoon also illustrates how Yumi will meet his future husband, which will be Soon Rok, who was described as the editor of Yumi’s book.
Interestingly, based on the webtoon, they began their professional relationship bluntly, as Soon Rok seemed strict.
