YouTuber Anthpo aka Anthony Po furry party controversy drama explained as video goes viral on Twitter/X
22-year-old Anthony Po was born on 30 July 2001in the United States. His full name is Anthony Potero. He is a resident of New Jersey’s Woolwich Township. He was a member of the Kingsway High School track team and graduated in 2019.
Anthony Po, often known as Anthpo, is a well-known YouTuber with more than 1.7 million subscribers. His primary content consisted of pranks, public stunts, and comedic skits. He began posting videos in 2019 while still a high school student and kept doing so throughout his time in college.
In May 2023, Anthony declared he will shut down the channel and move on with his life. Subsequently, he declared his comeback and promised to release several new videos in 2024. His first official video addressed the subject of furries.
Anthpo disclosed that he had spent months pretending to be a furry online in order to attend a convention and receive an invitation to an adult-only “furry party.”
Originally, Anthpo’s video had spicy, filtered footage from that party. Community members were outraged by this, wondering if he had permission from all parties to post it. His video’s overall tone was also criticised for promoting negative assumptions about furries and belittling the furry community.
It’s rare I speak up about things, but this is really getting to me and I feel the need to say something:

Response from Anthpo
Anthpo faced significant criticism after the footage was made public. Anthpo responded by deleting about two minutes from the video, where he allegedly displayed content that had been edited out of the furry party. When they requested him to, he also blurred the face of another furry in the video.
doesn’t seem you wanted to genuinely learn about the community here and get involved, just poor taste jokes at our expense. making a poor caricature of a furry. the school joke? pic.twitter.com/y5L1Q0gymO

On May 20, Anthpo issued an apology, stating that he removed the video at the request of a partygoer who had contacted him. Reiterating that he had obtained approval, he acknowledged that including the footage was a bad idea even though he had consulted lawyers prior to uploading.
Anthpo ended by apologising for spreading false beliefs about furries and establishing a fundraiser for the Trevor Project using the video.
