WWE Raw News: Hall of Famer Molly Holly Rumored to Return as WWE Producer

In the latest WWE Raw News, Hall of Fame inductee Molly Holly was present backstage at this week’s Monday Night Raw to try to make a return out as a potential producer.

Molly Holly is a former WWF Hardcore Champion and two-time Women’s Champion. She was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. This week she made an unaired appearance in the backstage arena. As PW Insider confirmed, the Hall of Famer was apparently there for a tryout as a potential producer for the company.

Molly Holly Hall Of Fame

Mighty Molly is one of the most popular female wrestlers from The Attitude Era. Trained by the ‘Man of 1,000 Holds,’ Dean Malenko, she debuted in 1997 but first garnered national attention in 2000 as Miss Madness, one of Randy “Macho Man” Savage’s valets in WCW.

But after her run in WCW ended, Nora Greenwald was reborn in WWE as Molly Holly. The Universe best remembers her for WrestleMania XX when she lost against Victoria who then shaved Molly’s head. Though she officially retired in 2005, she continues to make sporadic appearances such as those in the 2018 and 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble matches.

WWE Raw News: What Molly Holly’s Return Could mean?

Even though The Attitude Era hosted some of the most exhilarating rivalries ever, it wasn’t a very good time for a female to wrestle. It’s only now that the women fight in main events and receive a serious treatment. But back in the day, WWE only treated them as eye-candy.

They would either have a negligible screen time, walk down the aisle as a male superstar’s associate or participate in pillow fights and bikini shows.

Of course, there were some who delivered excellent matches. But almost all of the Attitude Era women have had their share of sexist behavior. Being one of them, Molly Holly could do wonders for the WWE Women’s Revolution and continue Stephanie McMahon’s legacy.

Rumors say that the company will rehire her to work behind-the-scenes. With this, she would definitely be involved with the emerging female talents and make an impact on the Women’s Division.
