WTT annual exhibition event WTT Macao 2022 is approaching its end after four days of thrilling matches with the final of the men’s and women’s singles and doubles events
However, day five on 23rd January will be a busy day for Table Tennis fans worldwide as big clashes are in-store. In WTT, Macao Women’s Singles and Men’s Singles will end on Sunday.

Mixed Doubles Final
Mixed doubles reigning world champions Xu Xin and Liu Shiwen proved their mettle by winning the WTT Macao Mixed Doubles final. The world champions defeated Chinese duo Fan Zhendong and Kuai Man in straight three sets with 11-6, 11-6, 11-5.
Women’s Singles Semi-Final
In the Women’s singles semi-final, Liu Shiwen defeated Sun Yingsha 4-2 and set up a showdown with Wang Manyuin. Wang Manyu won her semi-final duel with Chen Meng in a closely contested 4-3 win.
22-year-old Wang Manyu is currently 4th in world rankings and is favorite to win the final against 30-year-old and world number 11 Liu Shiwen
The Women’s Singles finals will begin at 4 PM IST (10:30 AM GMT).
Men’s Singles
Lin Gaoyuan dominated his opponent in the semi-finals to win the match 4-0 (13-11, 11-7, 11-5,11-5).Lin will face compatriot Wang Chuqin in the finals. Wang emerged victorious in the semi-finals game against Xu Xin with a score line of 4-1 (8-11, 11-4, 11-6, 11-8, 11-4) after a solid comeback from a first set loss.
The 21-year-old Wang Chuqin is currently ranked 12th in the world, and he will be looking to cause an upset by beating the 26-year-old veteran Lin Gaoyuan who is ranked 7th in the world.
The Men’s Singles finals will start at 5 PM IST (11:30 AM GMT).
WTT Macao 2022 Format and Prize Money Pool Distribution
WTT Macao is an annual promotional tournament of the WTT Series. The second edition of this knockout exhibition tournament will run from 19th to 23rd January 2022. Since WTT Macao is an exhibition tournament, it won’t include any WTT ranking points.
However, the tournament has a net lucrative prize pool of 800K dollars. Each player is guaranteed a 15K dollar prize money which will increase with number of matches won.
