Worst WWE Storylines: Worst Wrestling Stories Of All Time

Worst WWE Storylines have ranged from awesome to ridiculous over the years, but some have really made us cringe.

The company has had its share of unrealistic tropes like fake deaths and supernatural elements. But there have been times when the writers just went too far that following these storylines became painful. They weren’t poorly written, but simply dumb and ridiculous.

Following Are The Worst WWE Storylines of All Time Ranked

1. Mae Young births a hand

This one is just plain weird and something no one should have to visualize. Mae Young was paired with Mark Henry (two respectable superstars, if I may say) and made to be pregnant. If that’s not uneasy enough, WWE showed her giving birth to an adult-sized rubber hand covered in a petroleum-jelly substance. It makes as much sense now as it did in the late 1990s. Makes one wonder what it was they both actually did in bed.

2. Shane and Vince vs. HBK and God

This one is so ridiculously funny, I doubt you even have to move past the subheading to crack up. Plus, this was a no-holds barred match. Vince McMahon actually asked the referee to check God for any hidden objects as God was portrayed under the stage spotlight.

This match at Backlash (2006) was preceded by weeks of Vince asserting that he was more powerful than God. Vince won the match after an interference by The Spirit Squad.

3. Fake Razor and Fake Diesel

This rivalry took the assumption ‘WWE fans are dumb’ too far. When Scott Hall and Kevin Nash had left to join the rival company WCW, Jim Ross introduced two men to continue the gimmick. The company used them for to turn Jim Ross into a heel and make fun of Vince McMahon for not holding onto his talent. But fans had obviously seen through one of the most embarrassing moments for WWE.

4. Rey and Eddie fight for Dominik’s custody

This was quite a long storyline and I hope the thriving Dominik Mysterio has put this in the past. In 2005, former tag partners Rey and Eddie Guerrero were in a feud where Eddie declared he and Vickie had an affair, and he was Dominick’s birth father.

The superstars settled these obvious court matters in a ladder match which Rey won. The fact that this was Eddie’s last feud before his passing makes it even more ridiculous.

5. Al Wilson and Dawn Marie

Although ‘divas’ have now transitioned into ‘women’ in WWE, one can’t help but roll their eyes during retrospection. Dawn Marie decided to take an upper hand in her rivalry with Torrie Wilson, by romancing the latter’s father. The storyline continued for 9 months till their wedding where Al Wilson died during their honeymoon.

Torrie then avenged her father by defeating her ‘stepmother.’
