Jese Rodriguez was in the UEFA Champion League Final squad of Real Madrid in May, 2016, but August 2017, he was loaned out to Stoke City. That’s how drastically Jese Rodriguez’ fate changed. The Spaniard was considered to be next footballing sensation with glimpses of his skills coming off the bench for Real Madrid.

In the hopes of taking his career to the next level Jese joined Thomas Tuchel’s Paris Saint Germain, wherein game after game he failed to impress. Further to add to his misery, Jese found himself in heated altercations over his attitude and high salary demands in the same season as well.

  1. Kaka – AC Milan to Real Madrid – 2009

It seems impossible that the Brazilian midfield, Kaka could appear on any ‘worst’ list of the sport. However the most expensive signing till 2009, Kaka was acquired by Real Madrid with great expectations. But his 2 year stint at Real, was filled with injuries. As a result Mesut Ozil took his place in the starting XI and seemed unstoppable.

What led, was the downfall of one of the brightest mid fielders which signified that the glory-filled days are well past Kaka. Eventually, Kaka was sold for a loss of $46 Million to AC Milan, which is still one of the biggest in football history.

One of the greatest downfalls seen at the ‘Theatre of Dream’. He was boight for british record fees by Manchester United in 2001 from Lazio and Veron hit the ground running for the his new team. He scored 3 goals in 4 games. But after that game after game, the Premier League started taking a toll at the Argentina player.

This went to an extent where the then manager, Alex Ferguson lashed onto the media with explicit words to defend Juan Sebastian Veron.

There is no list in the world that would not blame Fernando Torres’ reason for downfall as the transfer form Liverpool to Chelsea. One of the best strikers in the last decade to play in the Premier League, Torres was never able to score more than 8 goals in a season for Chelsea.

His highlight at Chelsea was his goal that sent them into the 2012 Champions League Finals. However, with his failed stint at Chelsea, Torres returned to Spain in 2014.
