Barry Hawkins secured his spot in the quarter-finals with a commanding 5-1 victory over Stephen Maguire. Hawkins displayed impressive form with breaks of 129, 67, 71, and 54, and now awaits the winner between Neil Robertson and Chris Wakelin.
Jackson Page, currently ranked 52nd in the world, delivered an outstanding performance to reach his first-ever ranking event quarter-final, defeating Mark Selby 5-2 at the Huading Nylon World Open in Yushan. Ding Junhui staged a comeback to defeat Shaun Murphy 5-3 in another thrilling match. Although Murphy initially took a 2-1 lead with breaks of 127 and 86, Ding responded with impressive runs of 130, 83, 74, and 66 to claim victory.
Ding’s next opponent is Hossein Vafaei, who previously defeated Ronnie O’Sullivan. Neil Robertson, the 2010 World Champion from Australia, also advanced with a remarkable performance, including a high break of 140, in his 5-1 victory over Chris Wakelin. Robertson is set to face Barry Hawkins in the quarter-finals.
