2024 Prime Volleyball League final Calicut Heroes vs Delhi Toofans winner, result, score, & top performers
At the outset, the Delhi defense showcased resilience, effectively thwarting Calicut’s aggressive offensive strategies. However, as the game unfolded, Delhi shifted their focus to middle attacks, spearheaded by Aayush and Aponza, while Calicut relied on Jerome and Chirag’s varied offensive tactics. Despite Delhi’s efforts, their own errors proved costly, allowing Calicut to seize the advantage.
Crucially, Danial’s timely blocks against Delhi’s attackers solidified Calicut’s position, propelling them to a 2-0 lead. Although Delhi rallied in the third set, thanks to pivotal blocks from Aponza and Manoj, it was Mukesh’s unexpected contributions and Rohit’s powerful serves that tested Calicut’s resolve. Yet, in the fourth set, Jerome’s relentless assaults from the right flank proved too much for Delhi’s defense to handle, ultimately sealing Calicut’s convincing victory.

Prime Volleyball League 2024: list of awards & prize money
Calicut Heroes have secured the championship prize of INR 40 Lakhs, while Delhi Toofans will take home INR 30 Lakhs. Moreover, the winners of individual awards such as Emerging Player, Best Spiker, and Best Blocker will each receive a prize of INR 1 Lakh. Notably, Calicut Heroes skipper Jerome Vinith will bag prize money of INR 3 Lakhs for winning the MVP of the Season award alongside the Best Spiker of the Season award.
