China completely outplayed Germany in the Men’s World Team Table Tennis Championships 2022 championship match, winning 3-0. With this triumph, China has won the championship for tenth straight edition and 22nd time in history.

2022 Men’s World Team Table Tennis Championships China vs Germany Final Result, Best Performers, Score, & Medal Winners

China defeated Germany 3-0 on the last day of competition at the 2022 ITTF World Team Championships Finals to win the title of Men’s Team World champion for a record-extending 22nd time. brought to you by China Telecom. The top-seeded team faced off against Team Germany in the championship game for the sixth time as it sought to win the renowned Swaythling Cup for a record-breaking tenth consecutive time. And just like it was at the World Team Championships in Halmstad four years prior, China emerged victorious.

Benedikt Duda was defeated in straight games by world No. 1 Fan Zhendong of China, who outplayed the German opponent with a fierce aggressive exhibition (11-8, 11-8, 11-9). The second German player to come ahead was European champion Dang Qiu, who had the daunting task of defeating Ma Long, a three-time Men’s Singles world winner. Ma, who is accustomed to winning on a large stage, didn’t waver though, winning 3-1 (11-9, 11-6, 9-11, 11-1) to increase China’s lead to 2-0.

With no room for error, Germany put its faith in youth as Kay Stumper, 19, gave Wang Chuqin his best shot and fought valiantly to the bitter finish. However, Stumper could only stay up for so long as Wang made the most of the situation, winning three games without a single opponent answering (11-7, 11-8, 11-4) to elicit thunderous cheers from the Chengdu audience.
